PhD (in progress)
As a PhD scholar in English literature, I have taught as a visiting lecturer at a university level and provided private tuition to students. I believe in teaching in a manner that catalyzes students' creative abilities. I am particularly interested in understanding the students' psyche to know which teaching method suits them. One of my students, who is now pursuing a master's degree in linguistics, reflected on her experience that she understood the art of understanding literary texts from me.
I think that traditional classroom teaching fails to encompass the diversity in students' learning abilities. My tutoring approach is to prioritize empathy and understanding in teaching centered around highlighting students' unique individual abilities. I do not believe in forcing any particular teaching method on students, but rather in giving students to set the learning environment according to their abilities and preferences. This way, I not only teach but build a mutual understanding and communication with my students so that they feel at ease and learn in their comfort zone.

I have always enjoyed studying math, which led me to choose Further Math in A-levels and later major in econ-math from LUMS. At LUMS I worked as a quantitative tutor at the Math Skills Centre and teaching assistant, where I helped students navigate complex courses like linear algebra, calculus, and probability through one-on-one sessions and group study sessions. Although I am relatively new to formal teaching, my passion for math and dedication to helping others understand it drives me.
