In my almost 30 years of teaching, I have had a strong admiration for the Abrahamic traditions. I have devoted my life to learning and teaching about Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Over time, I have seen young people struggle with, value, and often feel a strong connection to these old teachings. I have visited Jerusalem, Rome, and Mecca, which has helped me understand them better. Now, I can share my personal experiences of these holy places with my students.
My tutoring approach is to help students understand the similarities and shared beliefs of the Abrahamic faiths. Experience: In my 27 years working, I have learned that religious education is very important for bringing people together and helping them understand each other. For almost 25 years, I have been interested in learning about Eastern Religions. During this time, I have studied the teachings of Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and other similar beliefs. I have been lucky to travel a lot, going to temples, monasteries, and shrines in Asia. This has helped me learn more and gather experiences to tell my students about. I have been happy to help many young people understand the complex ideas and practices of these old religions, showing them a glimpse of a world that is very different from ours.
I like to connect Eastern philosophies to our everyday lives when I teach. I compare old teachings to show how they can still be helpful in today's fast world. I believe in learning by doing, so I like to have discussions, group activities, and hands-on projects in my lessons. I use pictures, videos, and sometimes quiet thinking time to help my students truly feel and understand Eastern spirituality, instead of just memorizing information.

I have spent twenty years studying religion, and during that time, I have seen how knowledge can have a powerful impact on people's lives. I have worked in different places, like small villages where I learned about the local religious practices, and also in university departments where we discussed worldwide religious events. I have learned a lot about different religions, their practices, beliefs, and how they affect communities through my research projects. I have taken breaks from my regular life to live in religious communities. I did this to learn about their daily practices and beliefs. I share real-life experiences with my students to give them practical knowledge along with theoretical concepts.
