MPhil in Biomedical Engineering
Looking forward to enjoying an inclusive learning environment? I’m Sameer, a highly experienced Calculus tutor who has trained numerous groups of teachers and students on Calculus. With my Calculus expertise, I can help you become a Calculus master in a few weeks! Recently, I was serving as a lecturer for biomedical engineering students and there, I taught them how to use calculus for calculating the stress or strains on muscles, joints, etc., under various conditions, use calculus for designing devices like orthotics, use calculus for improving medical imaging technologies (i.e., CT, MRI, and PET).
I recommend supplementing the traditional calculus sessions with tech-based tutoring approaches, allowing the students to view the graphs and multiple calculations via graphic calculators. I provide step-by-step instructions to the students and try my level best to provide the students with additional resource materials or past papers for practice purposes. I also use Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) to perform intricate algebraic computations or solve differential equations.
His sessions were fun and interesting. I can’t believe that technical subjects like calculus can also be learned with fun. He is my favourite tutor!
I had a wonderful time learning Calculus with him.
100% recommended!

Very nice and humble!
Master's in East Asian Studies
I'm a native Japanese speaker with a deep passion for sharing my language and culture. Growing up in various regions of Japan, from bustling Tokyo to serene Kyoto, has given me a profound understanding of the language's regional variations and its cultural context. With a Master's degree in East Asian Studies, my academic background complements my practical experience. In the last nine years, I have been able to mentor many A-level students and help them understand the basics and complexities of the Japanese language. As a native speaker, I can offer genuine insights into how the language has changed over time and how it is used in real life.
I customize my teaching to match different ways of learning. I can help you if you prefer to learn by seeing, hearing, or doing. I want to make learning Japanese easy and fun for everyone. I use things like pictures, interactive activities, audio materials, and hands-on tasks to help people learn.
Ms. Oi's storytelling approach is incredible. Every lesson feels like a journey through Japan's history and culture. She's made Japanese so much more than just another subject for me.
I've learned a lot about Japan and its culture, but at times, I feel we stray too far from the language itself. I wish for a bit more grammar and less history.
A refreshing approach to teaching. Ms. Tung combines linguistic lessons with aspects of Japanese life, making each class memorable. Students looking to practice their Japanese conversational skills in a casual setting would benefit from this course. If Tung sensei could provide me with some notes or perhaps homework to complete after class, that would be fantastic.
Bachelor's in Spanish Linguistics
Over the past nine years, I've taken many students on trips through the vast world of Spanish language. Because I'm really interested in the phonetics, grammar, and syntax of Spanish, I've been able to get many of my students excited about it too. I've learned about regional accents, dialects, and slang by learning in different Spanish-speaking areas for many years. This makes my lessons more interesting and varied.
Language, for me, is more than just words and sentences; it's about understanding the language and grasping the emotion behind each phrase. I emphasize heavily on interactive sessions where students can practice speaking, listening, and comprehension. Using real-life situations, modern Spanish music, and films, I aim to give students an immersive experience. While the curriculum is essential, I believe in going beyond and giving students tools to communicate effectively, making them confident to engage in any Spanish conversation, whether in a classroom or on the streets of Barcelona.
Olivia is friendly and encouraging! If you are hesitant about booking lessons, just go for it!
I genuinely appreciate how she integrates real-life materials like music and movies into our lessons. It feels so relatable. Though I do wish we had more written exercises.
Olivia is fun to work with and makes you feel very comfortable. She focuses on what you WANT to do while adding in what you NEED to do effortlessly. I'm loving working with her.
Master's in East Asian Studies
In my nine years as a teacher, I have focused on Japanese culture and literature to help students learn more than just the language. Reading traditional stories and modern fiction in Japanese can help you understand how the Japanese language started and evolved.
I believe it's important to include literature in my teaching methods. Language and literature are closely connected. So, when I teach, I spend a lot of time reading out loud from different Japanese books. These books can be old or new and are popular among people. Students can learn grammar and vocabulary in a specific context, which makes the process fun and educational.
Ms. Yin's approach is wonderful. I've not only learned the language but also developed an appreciation for Japanese literature. She taught with a lot of energy and made things easy to understand.
I was looking for a more traditional way of learning. The focus on literature was a bit too much for my taste
M.A. in Classical Civilizations
I became interested in Latin during my time as an undergraduate student, and my interest grew even stronger when I pursued my master's degree. I have been teaching for almost ten years and it has been a great privilege to pass on my love for this old language to younger students. Latin is not only a language, but also a connection to a past era. Over time, I have adjusted my teaching methods to meet the needs of many different students. I have enjoyed teaching both students who view Latin as just another subject and those who are truly passionate about it. Every student, no matter what they were interested in before, always leaves my class with a new respect and interest in Latin.
When I learn Latin, I don't just see words. I see stories, culture, and the beginning of understanding. I focus on making complex things simpler. Instead of overwhelming students with a lot of information, I prefer simplifying things and making them easier to understand. We explore stories from ancient Rome, learn about the origins of modern English words, and sometimes play games related to Latin. Latin is best learned by being fully involved in it. So, my classes often include things from the past, like what people saw and heard, to help students completely learn Latin.
That lesson on things for the GCSE was really good. It really helped, and I used the videos to learn what I needed to know. Very good.
A thorough teacher. However, his class structure might feel a bit rigid to some. Still, you end up learning a lot.
BSc Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology)
Hi! I’m Nour. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences (molecular biology). I’ve taught this subject to numerous students around the globe. My experience includes teaching biochemistry in various settings, i.e., face-to-face group classes, one-on-one online tutoring contexts, and one-on-one face-to-face tutoring sessions. I specialize in tutoring different biochemistry curricula, such as IB, IGCSE, GSCE, etc. My vision is to prepare students for their academic exams and professional careers. Apart from tutoring, I also have experience in science labs. In scientific research labs, I used to explore molecular and cellular biological concepts in more detail, which has strengthened my subject knowledge.
My tutoring approaches are adaptable, flexible, and easy to understand. I adjust my teaching styles according to the needs of my students. I use a blend of tutoring methodologies in my one-on-one tutoring sessions, i.e., task-based tutoring, casual discussions, hands-on activities, etc., to make the learning process more engaging. Above all, I use the constructivist approach, which focuses on emphasizing the importance of encouraging the students to build their own concepts through discovery, experiments, and exploration. I also conduct monthly grand tests and sometimes weekly quizzes.
Nour is a very helpful tutor. She caters to the needs of the students and clearly understands their issues.
Nour is dedicated, well-organized, and a very knowledgeable tutor.
Highly recommended!
Master in International Relations.
My name is Sawsan, and I’ve been working as a full-time lecturer at a university. During this work tenure, I’m learning new teaching methodologies, plus strengthening my knowledge of this subject. Side by side, I’m also tutoring this subject to numerous students living in different countries and studying different curricula. My students have scored excellent marks in their final exams, and some have been appointed as employees in the world’s leading companies/industries. Helping students teach this subject with fun and interactive sessions is my prime goal.
I tutor the subject first with the easy topics and then gradually move on to the challenging topics. Students in my sessions are expected to participate in the discussions and share their ideas with me. Concept building is my sessions’ core methodology. As every student has his/her own learning nature, so I keep on molding my teaching style according to the students and their learning pace. Sometimes I like using a task-based approach, and other times I prefer delivering lectures verbally with visual illustrations (an utterly teacher-centered approach).
She is an excellent tutor, and she never gets late. I started taking sessions from her last week and am still looking forward to having more in the coming weeks.
A very patient and a very humble tutor.
Sawsan is highly recommended! She tutors this subject very efficiently. I like her sessions a lot.
Master's in French Linguistics
Over the span of 9 years, I've worked with university students to help them understand the beauty and depth of the French language. From conducting basic language labs during my early teaching days to leading in-depth seminars on French literature, I've had a varied and enriching journey. I've seen the joy in students' eyes when they perfectly pronounce a difficult word or when they understand a complex French text. I cherish these moments as they represent each student's breakthroughs and progress.
Understanding a language goes beyond just the words. It’s about engaging oneself in the essence of the culture. In my classes, students don't just learn French; they experience it. We use French music, movies, and literature as tools to make the language more relatable and fun. I place importance on open discussions and active participation, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to voice their thoughts and practice their skills.
Isabella has a unique way of teaching which makes learning French feel like an adventure. She makes everyone so comfortable to ask questions. I love her energy. Moreover, the real-life examples that she gives are really helpful. I have become so much better at French now.
Her classes are always lively and engaging. I've learned so much in such a short time
It's clear she loves the language and culture. It's amazing!
Bachelor of Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
My passion for nurturing students’ skills has led me to tutor hundreds of biotechnology students in virtual and face-to-face online tutoring sessions. I’ve more than 9 years of teaching experience. I’ve worked with national and international students and helped them with their course materials regardless of what curricula they are studying. My most years have been spent tutoring IGCSE and IB-level biotechnology students. Currently, I’m completing my MPhil in Biotechnology along with tutoring this subject in a virtual environment with multiple students. I have a good command of research-based topics too.
Creating a friendly, innovative, and student-centered learning environment is my main motive. I like to make learning fun with my interesting tutoring approaches. I don’t stick to one tutoring approach. Instead, I try to pick or mold the tutoring approaches depending on the learning nature of the student. My students also have to attempt the regular quizzes. Students' assessments are graded on the basis of the scale of their curricula.
Her tutoring style is very unique, and she knows how to tutor each student effectively. I’d recommend her to students who want to learn biotechnology without getting overwhelmed by the complexity of the subject. Because Sarah makes everything easy to understand.
Her sessions are the best!
I’ve never met a tutor like her. She is very talented.
