My tutoring experience is impressive as my students have improved a lot in their main subjects from my tutoring. Most of my students were from the Matric system, but I also taught the O-Level and A-Level curriculum. I teach online using Microsoft Teams. My teaching method is to share my screen where I write on a whiteboard or Blackboard, as I have a touchscreen device using e-pens. It's a lot more efficient and helpful than PowerPoint slides.
My approach is simple: I divide the course outline into categories and calculate the time required to complete it. After each chapter or topic(in some specific cases), I conduct a small quiz to see the improvement of my students and note the weaknesses so that I can work on them. This made me well equipped with the changing exams pattern and the recently added syllabus which made my teaching style and curriculum in accordance to the paper pattern, in which I prefered teaching students via real exam practice and marking schemes.
I would rather take real life examples in the finance world to help students develop their business acumen, instead of focusing more on rote and book-ish education. Once the students get hold of the concepts, I encourage them to apply that in past paper practice, in a weekly or monthly timed quiz.
