I am a qualified business tutor and a senior university examiner with 18 years experience. I gain satisfying feedback by assisting students achieve above their target grades and giving regular feedback to their parents. I left the classroom in 2020 in order to become a full-time online tutor and travel the world. Before teaching, I worked in business insolvency. This means that I have insight into global business. I am well-organized, always on time, and maintain regular contact.
I love to discuss the real-world business environment. Plus, I am an enthusiastic, cheerful, and engaging teacher. I am fueled by my student’s progress, and uplifting engagement. I also love researching about the ever-changing real business world, both domestically and globally. This is how I apply business theory to real, current examples.
I have responded really well to my first two University Business Studies sessions with Lilac. I am very positive about Lilac’s tutoring style and her knowledge of the different business concepts we have covered so far. I feel like I am getting more out of my tutor sessions than I am getting out of my business lessons at university. The tutoring services I provide are based on 9 years of polishing the skills. My methods of delivery to pupils with a variety of abilities from many backgrounds is solid too. I take special care to personalize sessions to each of my pupil’s learning needs whether it be getting an A in exams or simply providing support with homework and assessments.
I have worked for some university exam boards. This involves attending annual standardization meetings and managing other examiners. I find this experience offers a valuable insight into how the exams are marked. This allows me to show exactly where marks are given. I enjoy sharing model answers to my students.
