M.A. in Renaissance History
I have spent 20 years working in education sector, focusing on studying and teaching about the Renaissance period. After finishing my Master's degree from King's College, I worked as a research associate for a few years. During that time, I worked with experts to study and analyze the art, culture, and politics of the Renaissance period. I now teach at a university and have been doing so for the past 15 years. I enjoy sharing knowledge about this important time in history with my students.
We'll treat history as a story because that's what it is - stories of real people and events from the past. Instead of just memorizing dates and names, we'll dive into the 'why' and 'how' of events. Let's say we're studying the Renaissance. Instead of just reading about it, we'll talk about the people of that time, their daily lives, what they believed in, and why certain things happened.I've found that connecting smaller stories to the bigger picture helps make things clearer. So, when we discuss a specific event or person, we'll also see how they fit into the overall story of that time period. Our goal will be to understand history. To do that, we'll have discussions, ask questions, and maybe even debate a bit. This way, you won't just remember facts for an exam; you'll understand and remember them long after. Remember, history is fascinating, and by exploring it together, we'll make it both enjoyable and educational.
Great University Level Teacher! I was losing confidence and not doing well in school by the middle of Year 2. She helped me do better in school and raised my grade from a C to an A. Her lessons were very interesting and tailored to the things I was having the most trouble with. She had a lot of great information about the Tudors, Russia, and the French Revolution. Cannot say enough good things about it.
Loved how she integrated art and music into her lessons. However, I wish we had more lessons about Renaissance literature.
Grace might be the best teacher I've ever had. My son got the best grades possible with her help, and he is now going to one of the best colleges to study law. Every session with Grace was more than just History because she was knowledgeable and patient. My son now feels confident and ready to start a degree that needs critical thinking and essay writing skills. Thanks, Grace.
M.Sc. in World War II History
I have spent the last 18 years studying World War II and how it affected the world. I studied at University College London and learned about military strategies, political actions, and the social and economic impacts of this important time in history. As a teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach in different places, like regular classrooms, history seminars, online meetings and workshops.
World War II was a complicated mix of events, ideas, and people. I use different methods to help students understand better. These include watching videos, hearing from people who experienced things firsthand, and having interactive discussions. I help students understand how different events are related and what the war means overall.I want university students to understand the different viewpoints and details about World War II. By having detailed discussions, reviewing essays, and working on projects together, students gain a better and more detailed understanding of the subject

Ph.D. in Ancient Civilizations & Their Impact on Modern Culture
For 13 years, I have focused on learning and teaching about ancient civilizations and how they have impacted our world today. I began working as a research assistant at the University of Cambridge. I became very interested in civilizations like the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, and Greeks, and I wrote and published several papers about them. After that, I started teaching as a Professor. I have taught at different universities in the UK, sharing new ideas with students who are excited to learn.
Ancient history is not only about events from thousands of years ago. It involves making connections to the present and understanding our origins. I use both traditional teaching methods and modern multimedia tools to make history more engaging. This makes sure that students learn not just facts but also understand why these civilizations are important and how they have affected the world.
Aiden has really helped me with my history dissertation. I was having a lot of trouble, but he has been a great teacher and friend. He has been honest with me and quickly fixed my work. Other people would probably charge twice as much for the same work that he did for me, which made me value his work even more because I knew he wasn't just doing it for the money. He was doing it to help me. I would tell everyone to get his service because it's the best!
Really appreciated the way he links ancient events to modern-day scenarios. A slightly faster pace in the syllabus would be great.
Ph.D. in Medieval European History
I have spent 12 years studying medieval European societies in the academic world. I studied the Middle Ages at the University of Oxford. I learned about feudal systems and the church's influence on society. I have given talks at many conferences around the world. In the past 7 years, I have become a teacher and have been sharing my passion with students at prestigious universities.
Engagement is crucial. Rather than a one-way lecture, our sessions will be discussions. I'll provide context, and together, we'll understand the causes and effects. This dialogue method helps in retaining information and creates better understanding.Visual aids, such as maps, photographs, and diagrams, will often accompany our discussions. They provide a thorough understanding, allowing you to 'see' the history we're discussing.Lastly, my aim is for you to understand the broader picture – how past events have shaped the world we live in now. With clarity and focused discussions, our journey through history will be both insightful and comprehensive.
My son's A Level history teacher for the past few months has been Ava. He had lost faith in this subject, but Ava has done a great job. He has been looking forward to his lessons and has told me after each one how much he has learned. This subject is very interesting to Ava, and you can really tell by how enthusiastic and experienced she is. Also, she is very calm, friendly, and easy to get along with, which has been great for one-on-one lessons.
After a hard time during lockdown, Ava is getting my son interested in history again. She knows a lot about history and can help students improve their writings and answers by looking over them and giving them advice. My son, Josh, has found his tutoring lessons interesting and helpful. The talks about the writings are also helping him feel more confident. We're very happy.
Ava's feedback on assignments was detailed and constructive. It really helped me hone my writing skills.
Ph.D. in Modern Political History
After completing my doctorate from the LSE, I have spent the last 8 years teaching modern political history, specifically the global political changes of the 20th century. I am interested in teaching how political movements and changes in society and the economy are connected. I have worked with many international think tanks and published several papers to understand recent global events.
Political history is big and connected. I teach by dividing big events into smaller, easier-to-understand parts. For students, this approach usually involves studying timelines, learning about different people, and understanding different political ideas. We use different types of media, like documentaries and interviews, to get a complete understanding.
My 10-year-old son has been getting help from Avery for a few months now, and he has come a long way. He has loved his lessons and thought he was a great teacher who was easy to understand. He has also found that the tips he gives him are very useful and easy to remember for test questions. He also said that he was a fun teacher because history can be a dull subject to learn.
His use of multimedia in his lectures is really great, and I really enjoy it. I would love to see more sessions on the political past of Asia, though.
Avery's clear explanations and thorough feedback on essays were invaluable during my time at university. Highly recommend!
