I started teaching in Cairo, where I was fascinated by the interesting connections between Middle Eastern storytelling and English literature. I come from Budapest, a city known for its Gothic and Romanesque architecture. This influenced my interest in English Gothic literature. During my time in school, I have really enjoyed reading books by authors such as Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, and Edgar Allan Poe.
