Over my 21-year teaching career, I've taught pupils online for the past 8 years. This online exposure has given me the ability to communicate literary concepts in a virtual setting. Besides teaching, I’ve participated in curriculum development, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective for tutees. Additionally, I've facilitated several educational workshops to elevate teaching standards.
I believe in using modern tools and methods to make learning effective. This includes using visualizations and infographics, which have proven to be a powerful way of simplifying literary topics. I have MA English Literature, MA ELT, MA TEFL and M Ed. I have completed CELTA and DELTA Module 1 certificates. I have completed course work and passed qualifying exam of Ph D in ELT. I have finished thesis and submitted three articles for publication. Once the papers get published, I would be qualified for defense. I designed a need-based technical writing course for university students and its paper is published. The students I prepared for higher education, they are now in their university degree phase.
My lessons are always student-centered and this develops their communicative skills as well as their creative qualities. I give the examples which relate to the students' real life. I always observe culture and religious sensitivities of the students. I always encourage students' autonomous learning. I do need analysis formally/informally, find out students' pronunciation problems and elicit their learning style. This information helps me to design my lessons according to the students' needs.
