I've had students in Grades 3 to 5 who couldn't speak or write English when they started, but within three months of teaching, they were able to do both. I use fun materials in my classrooms to make learning enjoyable.
I start by understanding the needs of each student and getting to know them better through conversation. Every student is different, and only by talking to them can we understand their needs and how to approach them. I love it when students communicate and interact with me during lessons.
