I have contributed to the IB curriculum, ensuring that the content remains relevant, interesting, and in line with the International Baccalaureate standards. Furthermore, I've hosted numerous educational workshops, improving the teaching methods for fellow tutors. My hands-on approach in these workshops and curriculum development projects has given me practical insights. This experience makes sure that I provide students with a deep understanding of English, as per the IB curriculum.
I believe in a student-teacher partnership. I value the unique strengths and perspectives each student brings. Together, we collaboratively set goals and map out a path to achieve them. Drawing upon various learning theories, I edit my guidance to resonate with the student's learning style.
Lila is a wonderful tutor who’s best at what she does. I'm very thankful to Lila for her dedicated efforts in improving my English proficiency. In my three years of teaching, I've offered academic coaching to students. This has taught me the value of individualized approaches. A significant aspect of my role is maintaining open lines of communication with parents. This allows us to collaborate effectively, ensuring the student receives consistent guidance both at school and home. Together, we discuss the student's progress, identifying areas of improvement, and celebrating achievements. My students feel supported every step of the way.
Understanding that every student comes with their own set of challenges, I focus on addressing motivational hurdles. It's not just about teaching English; it's about inspiring a love for the language. I believe in celebrating small wins, which play a crucial role in building a student’s confidence. Using customized techniques, I encourage students to believe in their potential, and guide them in overcoming any academic challenges. By setting achievable goals, I help them relate their progress to their larger goals.

Mr. Holden is an educated fellow who knows IB curriculum and english perfectly. This makes me confident in learning from him. Not only this, Holden’s study materials are also incredibly helpful. I wish he had more free time so I could book more sessions.
