In my six years of teaching, I've helped students prepare for various IB exams. I've discovered the importance of customized strategies, ensuring each student approaches their exams with confidence. Beyond test prep, mentoring is my forte too.
Relating English to real-world experiences is vital. So, I prioritize subject-related field trips, allowing students to appreciate English outside the sessions. This hands-on approach brings literature and language to life, making learning tangible and relatable. Furthermore, I employ peer teaching. By letting students teach one another, they build communication skills and deepen their understanding.

In my three years of teaching, I've offered academic coaching to students. This has taught me the value of individualized approaches. A significant aspect of my role is maintaining open lines of communication with parents. This allows us to collaborate effectively, ensuring the student receives consistent guidance both at school and home. Together, we discuss the student's progress, identifying areas of improvement, and celebrating achievements. My students feel supported every step of the way.
Understanding that every student comes with their own set of challenges, I focus on addressing motivational hurdles. It's not just about teaching English; it's about inspiring a love for the language. I believe in celebrating small wins, which play a crucial role in building a student’s confidence. Using customized techniques, I encourage students to believe in their potential, and guide them in overcoming any academic challenges. By setting achievable goals, I help them relate their progress to their larger goals.
Gemma is very cheerful, and her lessons are productive. She is a very experienced, helpful, and caring teacher. I am so lucky to have met Gemma. English is now my fav subject, all thanks to Gemma. Thanks a bunch!

Mr. Holden is an educated fellow who knows IB curriculum and english perfectly. This makes me confident in learning from him. Not only this, Holden’s study materials are also incredibly helpful. I wish he had more free time so I could book more sessions.
