My name is Taha! I’m excited to introduce myself as an experienced commerce tutor who is great at delivering one-on-one sessions in both face-to-face and virtual settings. I’ve also experience teaching commerce-related subjects, i.e., Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business and Industrial law, Principles of Auditing, Advanced Accounting, Advanced Business Statistics, Strategic Marketing, Managerial Accounting, International Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange Operations, Banking Laws and Practices, Dynamics of Consumer Banking, Islamic Banking and Finance, Marketing for Financial Services, Credit and Risk Management in Banking Sector, E-banking, etc., to undergraduate level students. I’ve also worked as a pedagogical assistant and during that work tenure, I strengthened my curriculum designing skills.
My tutoring approach entirely depends on the complexity level of the course and the learning needs of the students. I use real-life examples to explain the concepts and focus on boosting my student’s critical thinking skills. I believe that students when participating in the learning process tend to learn more effectively, hence I keep on incorporating multiple activities into the sessions. My students have to participate in the activities and debates. I use different approaches depending on the needs of the students — all centred around student-centred learning approaches. I use easy-to-understand language and try to use interactive videos for elaborating on the concepts.

Teaching economy, business, or commerce is not just about theory. I believe that students need real practice! I started teaching professionally right after completing my bachelors. Therefore, I’m aware of what will work in teaching commerce to undergraduate and college students. I learned, adapted, and used different approaches based on the needs of my tutees throughout my career. As a teacher, it is necessary to find and awaken the interest of students while having fun. Fun makes it easier to learn without the subject feeling like a boring burden. I know it is difficult to judge which tutor will be right for you. The tutoring method I use is the discussion method. I also bring videos, case studies, and worksheets/books in lessons. Lastly, I assign homework upon request.
