I’m an online further math tutor who is serving in this field since 2021. So far, I’ve tutored three main curriculums, i.e., IB, A-level, and SAQ in one-on-one virtual learning settings. I, however, have tutored other curriculums in face-to-face sessions to different levels of students. I specialize in; developing personalized lesson plans enriched with engaging activities, implementing lesson plans in multiple learning environments, conducting research on mathematical or statistics-related topics, presenting research findings at international conferences, assisting students with their research-based projects, etc. I’ve assisted more than 400 students in one-on-one virtual sessions, and around 600 students in face-to-face grouped sessions. 

Tutoring Approach

I strive to make the lesson plans engaging by incorporating multiple manual and tech-based activities. Using a blend of different tutoring approaches is what I love doing the most in my session. I often use a behaviorist approach to praising their progress and celebrating their success by providing them with positive reinforcement. This helps in developing a positive environment, where students feel empowered to learn and grow as mathematicians. Further, I explain every step of the questions on digital boards with colorful digital pens. With these visual solutions, students tend to learn the concepts with every minor and major detail of the problem-solving process, ultimately retaining the learned knowledge for years to come. Positive feedback is also provided to the students.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach tends to revolve around the learning style of the students. Student-centered, activity-based, and collaborative tutoring approaches are a few of my very favorite tutoring approaches. I explain the concepts verbally and never stick with boring teacher-centered approaches. Instead, my sessions encourage the students to participate and solve the problems themselves under my close supervision. As a result, improving the students’ critical thinking skills. Further, all the sessions are enriched with multiple real-life examples, helping the students relate the information with finance, crypto, engineering, etc., for a better understanding and retaining the knowledge for a long period. Summative and formative assessments are also conducted, allowing me to have deeper glimpses of the student’s performance and conceptual understanding. The assessments are graded according to the scale of their curriculum, i.e., a scale of 5 to 1 for AP mathematics, alphabetical grades with different distinctions for IB further math, and so on.

Greetings! I’m Rawan and I’m here to teach further mathematics. I’ve taught at numerous prestigious schools and universities, which exposed me to a lot of teaching methodologies and helped me become a better teacher. I specialize in different areas of math including algebra, topology, derivation, integration, and many others. That being said,  I have an excellent command of further math-related subjects. I’m an expert at delivering lectures in different contexts, including online, offline, and grouped sessions.

I focus on teaching problem-solving procedures. I belive that, students, when encouraged to participate in the learning processes, tend to focus more on the details, ultimately retaining the learned knowledge for years to come. i have been teaching mathematics since 2023. I taught math to kids from 8th to 10th grade in both CBSE and American Curriculum.
