Ms in History
Hi everyone, Jennifer here! I’m an online history tutor who has taught over 900 students in different learning environments, primarily face-to-face and virtual. During my work tenure as a lecturer and online tutor, I’ve met students from diverse backgrounds and tackled their learning needs to help them grow as students or research writers. My students tend to score excellent marks in their final exams and a few of them have also received international rewards.
I tutor with highly interactive and student-centered based tutoring approaches. I believe in creating an engaging learning environment where students can participate in the learning activities and learn the concepts without even realizing that they are studying. I use multiple digital resources for explaining the concepts and sometimes play relevant lecture videos for helping the students master the core history concepts. Students are also encouraged to attempt the quizzes and assessments. A complete performance report is kept and shared with the students at the end of every week.
Wonderful tutor with amazing tutoring skills. I was a bit nervous in the beginning but she made me comfortable with her impressive tutoring style and kind behavior. Highly recommended!
Excellent tutor! She is great at tutoring history!
She provided me with all the relevant resources that would help me pass my exam with excellent scores. Highly recommended tutor!
MA
For the past nine years, I have been a history teacher in several schools. Although I have primarily taught the British Curriculum, I have also taught various national curricula and am adaptable.
My way of teaching is built on active historical thinking and the ability to reason about the past. History is just a person's view; I want my students to understand that. I want them to form their own opinions and ideas about the past by carefully examining it.
Master of Arts (MA) in Archaeology
Hi! My name is Mona, and I’m an online history tutor who has also worked as an archeologist. Tutoring history to several students around the globe has helped me hone my tutoring and communication skills. I’ve tutored students of different ages and studied different curriculums, i.e., IGCSE, GCSE, IB, etc. I’m also great at tutoring archaeology-related subjects, i.e., Archaeological Field Methods, Archaeological Theory and Practice, World Archaeology, Physical Anthropology, Archaeological Lab Methods, Cultural Anthropology, Historical Archaeology, Environmental Archaeology, Archaeological GIS (Geographic Information System), Human evolution, etc.
My tutoring approaches focus on creating a highly-personalized learning environment. While keeping in mind the student's needs and requirements, I design lesson plans that utterly focus on their learning style and pace. Interactive activities are also integral parts of my online sessions.
A highly recommended tutor! Mona was always on time and always ensured that I understood the topics being taught before jumping to conclusions. In short, she is an amazing tutor!
Wonderful and a very humble tutor. She listened to my questions very patiently and always tried to come up with satisfactory solutions. Highly recommended tutor!
A very nice and superb history tutor!
Master's Degree in Medieval History
My name is Jerry and I’m an online history tutor who is great at tutoring history-related subjects for almost all ages of students. I’ve been tutoring different curricula that include IGCSE, GCSE, SABIS, Quebec, IB, etc. During the recent years of my career, I used to teach at different schools and universities and further met international and national educationalists to develop and lead historical programs for k-12 students at multiple local societies. I’ve also worked as a GCSE Edexcel history examiner for many years, which has contributed to improving my subject knowledge. Alongside teaching students their history-related courses, I’m also conducting research and working on multiple research projects, which brings me to the position where I can help students with a highly-complex history research-related subjects.
I like to design my lesson plans according to the needs of the students. Oftentimes, I do use the standard lesson plan templates and mold them according to the needs of the students. However, depending on the student’s needs, I sometimes design the entire lesson plans on my own. Students are encouraged to start a debate on historical concepts during online or face-to-face sessions. With this, students tend to focus more on the ongoing discussions and ultimately master the historical concepts faster. Quizzes and assessments are also integral components of my sessions, that follow a pattern of the type of the particular curriculum the student is studying in his institution.
Jerry is a brilliant and very smart tutor! My daughter learned basic historical concepts through interactive activities. My daughter got 85% in her final exams with Jerry’s help. Thank you Jerry for your help!
Jerry listened to my queries very patiently and never hurried over to close the discussion. Highly recommended tutor!
Very nice and a very talented tutor with extraordinary tutoring skills.
Ph.D. in Modern Political History
After completing my doctorate from the LSE, I have spent the last 8 years teaching modern political history, specifically the global political changes of the 20th century. I am interested in teaching how political movements and changes in society and the economy are connected. I have worked with many international think tanks and published several papers to understand recent global events.
Political history is big and connected. I teach by dividing big events into smaller, easier-to-understand parts. For students, this approach usually involves studying timelines, learning about different people, and understanding different political ideas. We use different types of media, like documentaries and interviews, to get a complete understanding.
My 10-year-old son has been getting help from Avery for a few months now, and he has come a long way. He has loved his lessons and thought he was a great teacher who was easy to understand. He has also found that the tips he gives him are very useful and easy to remember for test questions. He also said that he was a fun teacher because history can be a dull subject to learn.
His use of multimedia in his lectures is really great, and I really enjoy it. I would love to see more sessions on the political past of Asia, though.
Avery's clear explanations and thorough feedback on essays were invaluable during my time at university. Highly recommend!
Bcom dip in montessori

I am fluent in English and continuously strive to improve. My teaching method is distinct and engaging, offering children a new approach to learning that is both interesting and effective.
M.A. in Ancient Civilizations
I have been teaching history for 7 years, but I have always been interested in ancient civilizations since I was in school. I started teaching in Liverpool, and then I moved to an international school in London. Over time, I have written about various subjects such as the ancient Egyptian rulers, Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley civilization, and the ancient Greek and Roman societies. I studied at Cambridge University and learned how to analyse and explore the ancient world. I'm excited to share this knowledge with my students.
I love ancient history because it has so many interesting stories. Instead of only using textbooks, I often use visual aids like slides of archaeological digs or snippets from historical documentaries. I try to make each lesson flexible and cater to the interests and learning styles of each student because I know that every student is different.Getting students ready for IB is not just about teaching them information, it's about teaching them how to think critically and make connections. We review old test papers, talk about possible questions, and work on creating short but powerful answers.
Mia is a good teacher who listens to you carefully, comprehends what you are saying, and explains everything in terms you can understand. She is a fantastic tutor and is highly recommended.
It's clear that she knows a lot, but I think we went over some things too quickly at times. Still, it was a good way to learn.
Master of Arts in African American and African Diaspora Studies
Hi! My name is Khaled, and I’m a highly passionate teacher who is now working as an online tutor with the ultimate goal of innovating the tutoring world with my highly interactive tutoring approaches. I’ve served as a senior International History Olympiad trainer in Dubai for more than 5 years and have helped the students nurture learning skills and fully prepare them for the competition. I’ve 7 years of tutoring experience and have tutored multiple curriculums that are being studied in different parts of the world. I’m also great at tutoring research-related subjects, as I’ve supervised more than 100 research papers/projects in the past 7 years.
My tutoring approach entirely depends on the course requirements and the student’s learning style. For junior-level students, I often try to make the sessions interactive by incorporating different activities and explaining each concept verbally. For the high-level students, my tutoring approach, however, shifts to more student-centered approaches with the help of which the student’s critical thinking is challenged.
Khaled is great! He changed the way I look at history today! Highly recommended!
Excellent and amazing tutor with excellent communication skills.
Must be awarded as the best tutor!
