Bachelor of Mathematics
With 6 years of experience as a math tutor, I have had the privilege of helping 450 students achieve their potential in their University Math courses. After graduation, I became an assistant professor. I found my love for teaching. I have a proven record of university students improving their grades after taking my sessions.
With 6 years of teaching experience, I know all the secrets to memorize math at a university level. I make my own puzzle pieces math instruction to enable quick learning. My classes always end with reflection time as I believe it’s necessary for retention. Lastly, I only give meaningful and brief homework which my students love solving.

Masters
My professionalism guarantees that I’m punctual and give each student the dedicated attention they need. My master's degree has given me expertise in the university math curriculum. This depth of knowledge helps in making my sessions productive. When students choose to work with me, they aren't just getting someone who knows math; they're getting a tutor who understands the university-level curriculum inside and out.
My approach emphasizes critical thinking, urging students to analyze problems and find solutions on their own. This not only makes them independent thinkers, but also reinforces their understanding of the subject. Furthermore, I integrate problem-based learning into my sessions. Instead of presenting the answers, I guide students through problems, allowing them to find solutions themselves.
Nailah has a professional pace in her lessons. This ensures that I’m neither too rushed to understand new concepts nor too slow to guarantee my interest. With other tutors before, I was either always rushed through topics or the speed was extremely slow. I never knew what it felt like to study math at a suitable pace! Haha
I have so many great things to say about Nailah. First of all, she understood my learning style and proficiency in the subject. All our lessons are now based on these points. Secondly, I now think critically about this subject. Do you know what this means? My days of rote learning are gone now!!

Being actively involved in community outreach initiatives, I've understood the varied learning needs of students from different backgrounds. This involvement taught me the importance of professionalism in my role. Consistency, punctuality, and adapting to individual learning paces are key elements I follow. My passion for teaching isn't just about transferring knowledge. It's about making a space where students feel confident in their understanding of tough concepts.
Feedback and assessment play important roles in my tutoring sessions. After every lesson, I offer constructive feedback, sharing strengths and those needing a bit more attention. I always encourage questions. Each question offers an insight into a student's thought process, enabling me to match my teaching methods more closely with their needs. A problem-solving mindset is crucial in this subject. Rather than rote memorization, I urge students to grasp the underlying logic. This allows them to solve math questions with confidence.
Kai ensures a safe and respectful learning environment. I feel very safe and easy in her presence. I think this is a must for learning math at a university level. There are more good points about Kai, but I find this the most likable.
Her use of humor makes learning fun. I enjoy Kai’s sessions. :) since math can be so boring and draining, Kai’s humor makes it so enjoyable!
The different assessments, including quizzes, provide me ways to display my understanding. Kai is really an experience tutor.
