I’m Rebeca, a freelance writer and an online tutor helping numerous SAT candidates and students improve their English skills, primarily their writing skills. As a freelance writer, I’ve written over 50,000 words. I have great exposure to the English language. I started teaching the English language 9 years ago. So far, I’ve tutored K 12 students studying IGCSE and IB English course books. Further, I’ve also tutored undergraduate students and SAT candidates. I’m also a certified IELTS trainer and an award-winning elementary-level school teacher.
I tutor the English language with exciting methods and techniques. Depending on the skill the student wants to master, I mold my tutoring approaches accordingly. For instance, if the student is willing to learn to write essays, I’ll be using a blend of student-centered and teacher-centered approaches, where I’ll be explaining the writing rules/techniques, and the student will be encouraged to write essays by using their critical thinking skills. Similarly, for tutoring speaking skills, I play some audio and then ask my students to solve the quiz or verbally explain what they’ve understood.
