I have taught history for 13 years, with a main focus on the 20th century. I worked at a well-known school in Bristol for most of my career. I helped students learn about important events like the World Wars, the Cold War, and the rise and fall of empires. I have helped many students with their IB projects and exams. For 13 years, I have focused on learning and teaching about ancient civilizations and how they have impacted our world today. I began working as a research assistant at the University of Cambridge. I became very interested in civilizations like the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, and Greeks, and I wrote and published several papers about them. After that, I started teaching as a Professor. I have taught at different universities in the UK, sharing new ideas with students who are excited to learn.

I have been teaching for 12 years, mainly focusing on the IB curriculum. I started studying at a well-known international school in Birmingham. I developed a way of learning that combines different subjects to understand the complexities of the World War era. The IB History course, especially when studying World War era, asks students to carefully examine events with a focus on how they are connected globally. In my classes, we focus on both the major events and the human stories and emotions connected to these events. We examine primary and secondary sources. We look at bias, context, and draw conclusions based on what we learn.Working together is encouraged. Students often work together in groups to have discussions, give presentations, and complete projects. They do this to learn about different viewpoints on historical events. For those getting ready for IB assessments, we practise answering questions in a structured way. We focus on evaluating sources and creating arguments that consider both sides.
She was able to make the time period of the World War quite interesting. However, I was hoping for a greater emphasis on the post-war restructuring of geopolitical power.
In my instance, it was IB History, and Ava is really friendly and tries her best to help you in every way she can.
