I teach Maths and Further Mathematics and have worked with A-level students in both subjects. My background includes a Bachelor of Science, a Master's in Economics, and a Bachelor of Education. I encourage students to take an active role during lessons rather than relying on explanations throughout. M.Sc in Mathematics
Since 2020, I’ve mostly worked with students who needed extra support outside the classroom, whether that’s catching up, revising before exams, or just making sense of topics that moved too fast in school. I’ve seen how a bit of consistent guidance can really change how a student feels about maths.
I first understand how the student is thinking, even if it’s incorrect. Once their approach starts improving, the answers usually follow. My goal is to make them feel more in control of the subject rather than just getting through homework.

Summative and formative assessments are also conducted, allowing me to have deeper glimpses of the student’s performance and conceptual understanding. The assessments are graded according to the scale of their curriculum, i.e., a scale of 5 to 1 for AP mathematics, alphabetical grades with different distinctions for IB further math, and so on.
