Our tutors have been teaching students in different settings for many years. All of their lessons are based on the student’s pace and ability. Take your time to see the reviews, schedule, and rates of MTS tutors. Parents are also given a choice to select a female or male tutor for their child.

Master's in Classical Literature and Latin
I have been teaching Latin to students who follow the IB curriculum for 20 years. I have helped students learn Latin, from ancient Rome to the language's details. Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to teach students from different backgrounds. Each student has their own reasons for studying Latin and brings their own unique perspectives. My teaching style has been influenced by my experiences, which have made it more inclusive and effective.
My approach to teaching Latin is all about connecting it to everyday life. We explore how Latin roots and phrases are still used in modern languages, including English. By making these connections, Latin becomes relevant and accessible. From scientific terms to legal jargon, Latin is all around us. You'll see it's not just a historical language but one that still influences our world today.
As an adult who is going back to school to take a class, I'm glad I picked Reggie as my teacher. I really appreciate how patient he is with me and how gradually he works, which helps me a lot. Under his careful and steady guidance, I'm sure my Latin will improve a lot. Five stars.
Reggie is a clear, kind, and well-organized teacher. He leads students through the modules in a way that makes sense and checks their learning as they go. I'm really loving the lessons, and getting better. I have no doubts about recommending him.

PhD in Spanish Literature
I've been teaching Spanish for two decades now. Most of that time has been focused on the literature side of things. Over the years, I've seen a lot of students come and go, and I've tried to pass on my love for Spanish stories, poems, and plays to each of them. I've also worked with students on their own writing and research projects, helping them dig deeper into the world of Spanish authors.
I've always been of the opinion that while speaking fluently is important, understanding the backbone of a language, its grammar, is equally crucial. This is why my teaching journey for any student begins with a solid understanding in grammatical rules and structures. I make the lessons difficult slowly, ensuring that as students progress, they have a strong foundation to build upon. When they speak, it's not just with fluency, but with accuracy and confidence.
Mr. Smith's classes were a highlight for me. He knows how to make Spanish literature come alive, and he's always there to help when you're struggling.
I never thought I'd love Spanish stories as much as I do now. Ethan's enthusiasm and clear teaching made all the difference. Also, he is so nice in class and keeps a good environment. It helps students to ask questions and learn more.
Great teacher, but boring. Still, I learned a lot.
PhD in French Cultural Studies
Over two decades, I have explored the depth and breadth of French culture and its imprints on global civilization. Being of a mixed heritage, I've always been particularly captivated by the blending of cultures and the way French influences have permeated throughout the world. From the art cafes of Paris to the bustling markets of Marseille, I've traveled extensively to absorb authentic experiences. Sharing these experiences with my students has been my primary motivation. I've taught in both local colleges and renowned universities, encountering a myriad of students, each bringing their own perspective to our discussions.
My approach is not limited to traditional practices. I focus on various things. For me, teaching someone French means introducing students to a culture that has rich historical roots. I adopt a holistic approach to teaching, incorporating media, art, and history into our lessons. This ensures that students not only grasp the language but also develop a genuine appreciation for the culture and people behind it. Through open discussions and real-world examples, I make certain that students experience French culture as if they are walking down a boulevard in Paris.
Oliver's teachings go beyond just the classroom. His stories and examples gave me a real feel of France.
A true expert in his field! I learned so much about the French world, although sometimes the lessons were more cultural than linguistic.
I joined the class hoping to strengthen my language skills, mainly. While I found Oliver's depth of knowledge about French culture impressive, I sometimes wished we'd spend more time on verb conjugations and vocabulary. However, for those keen on culture, he's your guy!
PhD in East Asian Studies from Peking University
I began working as an English teacher in Beijing 20 years ago. During that time, I had the opportunity to connect with people from different cultures and build friendships despite the challenges of language differences. I started loving Mandarin more, so I decided to pursue a PhD. I now focus on teaching Mandarin and sharing the beauty of Chinese culture in my career. I have worked with IB students for a long time, helping them get ready for IB exams. I have seen many of them go from being beginners to becoming fluent speakers. I have experience teaching at different types of schools and doing private tutoring. This has influenced the way I teach, as I always consider the unique needs of my students.
I use a well-rounded approach. I teach students about Chinese literature, history, and pop culture, in addition to the language. This method helps students understand how to use language and its cultural meaning more effectively. I like to involve everyone in my lessons, so I often have discussions, tell stories, and analyse films. I focus on helping IB students become confident in speaking Mandarin, writing essays, and understanding texts with cultural awareness.
I choose to study Mandarin with my 12-year-old daughter. Since we have been taking lessons with Sophie for a year, I have had the opportunity to think about how she instructs both adults and kids. Sophie is a devoted and highly inspiring teacher. She sends out additional material after the lesson if we ask for any additional information. The lessons follow a clear format. For my classes, I'm use HSK1 books. My daughter initially used flash cards and has since added text books. I'm really pleased with Sophie , and I wholeheartedly endorse her as a Mandarin tutor for both children and adults.
Sophie's teaching methods are unique and enjoyable. But sometimes I wish we could have more grammar sessions.

Ph.D. in Biotechnology
My name is Nahla, and I’m an experienced tutor who wants to make learning an exciting experience for students all over the world. I’ve around 8 years of experience in teaching this subject to IB, IGCSE, AQA, GCSE, Edexcel, etc., levels of students. I’ve also assisted MCAT students with their studies. Around 40% of my past students were doing the MCAT, and around 85% of them scored excellent marks on their MCAT. Apart from all this, I’m also experienced in tutoring undergraduate, post-graduate, and P.h.D students. I’ve also written numerous research papers during my past tenure in a college as a lecturer.
Simplicity, and sequencing are the keys that I use for developing my lesson plans. I like to sequence my lectures in a way that the students can learn the concepts starting from the easy topics to the hard ones. Quizzes are also conducted in my sessions. Further, I usually avoid assigning home tasks; instead, I encourage my students to work in the sessions with the intention of identifying and solving their learning problems together.
Always on time. Impressive tutoring style and a highly recommended tutor!
Had really interactive sessions with her. Great tutor!
Liked her sessions a lot!
PhD in Comparative Religion
I have spent twenty years studying religion, and during that time, I have seen how knowledge can have a powerful impact on people's lives. I have worked in different places, like small villages where I learned about the local religious practices, and also in university departments where we discussed worldwide religious events. I have learned a lot about different religions, their practices, beliefs, and how they affect communities through my research projects. I have taken breaks from my regular life to live in religious communities. I did this to learn about their daily practices and beliefs. I share real-life experiences with my students to give them practical knowledge along with theoretical concepts.
Teaching religious studies is not just about religious texts and rituals. It is about understanding what it means to be human. I focus on making a safe place for students to discuss and question religious beliefs. I use videos and multimedia presentations to help students understand what they are learning. I want to teach them to understand and value the different religious beliefs in the world.
Mr. Youssef has this way of making religious studies interesting. I never knew there were so many connections between different religions. He uses maps and pictures, and sometimes even different books to help us understand. What stands out the most is his patience. Even if someone asks a question that might seem simple, he takes the time to answer it thoroughly. He also brings in stories from his own experiences, which helps us see the real-world application of what we're learning.
Since my son started attending Mr. Youssef's class, our dinner conversations have changed. He's always sharing a new fact or story.
