M.E,B.E
I’ve supported GCSE Islamic Studies students for over 4 years, guiding them through faith-based content and academic assessment objectives. I regularly work with students aiming for top grades and those seeking to strengthen their understanding of Islamic teachings and practices.
My approach is discussion-led and reflective. I encourage students to think critically about Islamic teachings, relate them to modern issues, and develop well-structured responses. I use visual aids, timelines, and structured notes to make complex topics easier to understand and revise.
MSc in Social Anthropology
I have 18 years of teaching experience. I am used to teaching in a multicultural environment. To me, teaching is my true calling. I did not start teaching just to earn. I live for the twinkling eyes of my students when they grasp a concept. Even better, when they figure out how to solve a problem on their own.My lessons are counted by the hour. It is up to you to have intensive or light training. Busy students can even take one lesson per week.
After knowing your current level and goals, I will create a customized plan to help you achieve your goals. My lessons include modern teaching tools to satisfy the student's needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.I’m flexible when it comes to the number of lessons you want. Personally, I like when students book at least 5 lessons to begin with. But it is totally your decision. If you’re not sure, book a trial lesson and we can discuss what the best option for you might be.

PhD in English Literature with a specialization in Modernist Writers, CELTA Certified
I started my journey into literature in St. Petersburg, a city with a rich artistic history. I grew up surrounded by a lot of different cultures, which made me really interested in English Modernist writers. I noticed that their writing had similar feelings to the famous Russian authors. This curiosity made me want to study more in both areas. Eventually, I started teaching and finding connections between these two interesting subjects. I have taught in Russia, the UK, and some other European countries for almost 20 years. I am knowledgeable about the writings of Woolf, Joyce, and Eliot, and how they relate to Russian modernist thinking.
In our sessions, we don't just read. We also explore the cultural, historical, and societal backgrounds that influenced these works. I assist students in comprehending the thoughts and feelings of the author, as well as the historical context and events mentioned in the novel or poem. Because I am Russian, I often use different perspectives to help students understand how people around the world felt during the Modernist era. I want to show students that literature is universal and timeless.
Great Teacher.
She assists me with the English literature homework I have for high school. Nina is really professional, patient, imaginative, and thought-provoking. She is unquestionably a highly gifted teacher and is always passionate. Being able to work with her makes me feel really lucky. I'm grateful, Nina.
Double MSc in math
I've been fortunate to spend the last 18 years in math education, guiding university students through math. With a double MSc, my expertise allows me to offer clarity for my students. Over the years, I've sharpened my skills in exam preparation, making sure my students are well-prepared and confident. Recognizing the unique hurdles faced by every student, I've also created customized study material. These resources are designed to make math more accessible.
Understanding math requires essential study skills that promote deep understanding. I prioritize the sharpening of these skills, ensuring students can solve math problems with clarity and confidence. Moreover, I believe in the power of engaging homework assignments. These tasks are thoughtful exercises that challenge students, promote critical thinking, and solidify concepts. Through this approach, I fulfill students' goals, ensuring they derive value from my lessons.
Aside from Blaise’s deep math knowledge, she also teaches non-academic life skills, like time management and critical thinking. Studying with Blaise means you’ll be more prepared for professional life ahead. I appreciate how much she invests in me. Very rare tutors do this.
Blaise’s teaching methods and passion for math have developed a love for studying in me. I look forward to both her lessons and university classes.

Further, I was also a certified math teacher. All in one, my experience has taught me how to help students tackle the tough problems that arise while studying math.
I’m a math tutor who only picks the best and the most interactive yet challenging activities for one-on-one math sessions. I fully understand my students’ requirements before starting out with the sessions.
It's easy to communicate your problems to Shyju. He listens to his students very patiently and fully understands their problems. He made every intriguing concept very clear to me! Highly recommended!
Excellent tutor! Offered me in-depth math sessions and cleared my concepts. He is great at tutoring this subject!
With his help, I improved tremendously! He walked me through every step of the problems on virtual boards and repeated the procedures again and again until I understood them properly. She is just amazing!
M.A. in Colonial and Post-Colonial History
I have spent more than 17 years studying and teaching about colonial and post-colonial histories. I began my education in Canada, where I became interested in the worldwide effects of colonialism. I went on research trips to former colonies in Africa and Asia to learn more about the legacies they left behind. My real-life experiences, along with my education, have given me a good understanding of the topic.
Colonial history is not only about the people in charge and the people they governed. It is also about learning about the ways different cultures influenced each other, how people resisted and adapted to colonial rule, and how things changed over time. I use a teaching method that involves talking and discussing with students. I encourage them to ask questions and think for themselves. We use original sources such as letters, diaries, and newspapers to explore personal stories that are often ignored in popular accounts.I prioritise clear communication and different viewpoints for IB students. We often use old test papers to understand how the exam is structured. I always stress the importance of making clear and balanced arguments in your answers.
Olivia makes learning interesting and is a fantastic teacher. She is not like the other teachers I've encountered online who simply followed the courses on reply and clarified the phrases, and that was it. Instead, she has thousands of good articles and other materials in her toolkit that she shares with me so that I can look at them more closely, pick up the vocabulary, and adapt them. Excellent educator. Luckily, I signed up for her classes.
I've been taking courses with Olivia for a month now, and I really enjoy them. She is a generous, humorous, and incredibly smart teacher. I didn't anticipate having in-depth discussions about society, history, philosophy, etc. Each lesson, the ability to articulate difficult concepts helps me get rid of my imposter syndrome a little bit more. I wholeheartedly recommend Olivia!
Her help was very important as I learned the IB history curriculum. The regular sessions for comments were especially helpful.

I’ve helped students succeed in both Standard and Higher Level, focusing on key sociological themes such as identity, inequality, culture, and social change, with full support on Internal Assessments and exam preparation.
My sessions emphasize critical thinking and real-world application. I help students connect theory to current global and cultural issues, develop strong essay structures, and refine their evaluative writing. I also support them in mastering the IA with clear frameworks and topic-specific guidance.
