PhD in mathematics
I have 40 years of experience teaching mathematics to students from different levels. Over the years, I’ve taught multiple curricula, students like IB, A-Level, GCSE, and AP. I've also delivered tutorials for undergraduate courses like calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. Moreover, I have 4 years of experience as a teaching assistant during my PhD.
I usually start with a quick assessment of strengths and weaknesses. I try to start with particular examples and gradually move to a general understanding and application of concepts. Every student is different, so I adjust how we go depending on what you need. We go step by step, and I guide you until you can do it on your own.
MSc. MPhil
I have been teaching for 22 years in the Department of Mathematics, covering undergraduate and advanced college programs. I have taught advanced mathematics, which includes 1)Calculus I, II, III, 2)Linear Algebra, 3)Differential Equations,4)Numerical Analysis, 5)Real Analysis. I have also helped students prepare for A-Level, IB, GCSE, and SAT Mathematics.
My teaching approach focuses on involving students actively, adjusting lessons to their level, and integrating real-world applications. This helps to make mathematical concepts easier to understand and accessible to all learners.
Master of Science in Mathematics
I have been teaching for around 20 years at almost all levels. I started during college and have continued tutoring. Over this time, I've worked with students at different levels, including IGCSE, A-Level, SAT, and MCAT. As a tutor, my prime concern is building students’ thinking and problem-solving skills and helping them perform better in exams.
I know students find the math subject boring, so I try to keep my lessons simple and engaging by using examples and small activities during class. This helps students to understand concepts and formulas better. We go step by step and practice together until the concept becomes clear.
Very professional tutor! He explained every concept with proper details. Highly recommended!
Very helpful! He ensured I understood every concept before moving on to the next topics. I highly recommend him to the physics students.
Of all the tutors I ever had, Krishnan was one of the best ones. He made the complex concepts easy to understand. He’s humble, patient, and super-talented too! I am going to hire him again!
M.A
I have more than 19 years of experience in teaching and management. With a Master's (M.A) degree in Educational Planning and Management, I possess a comprehensive understanding of planning and management in education.
I don't do the stiff, old-school lecture thing. Instead, I use my background in educational planning to figure out exactly where things went sideways and plan customized lessons from there.
MSc in Pure Mathematics
I began my career in mathematics after completing my MSc and have been teaching for the past 17 years. I’ve worked with high school students, covering subjects like algebra, geometry, calculus, and introductory number theory. I have helped students who struggle with basics as well as those aiming to improve their overall performance. I also have experience in planning lessons and organizing content.
I prioritize clarity and precision in teaching mathematical concepts. Every math problem follows a specific pattern and method. I break problems into smaller parts so students can see how each step works. This helps to avoid memorization and encourages real understanding. I believe it's important for students to practice various types of problems for each topic in order to fully understand it. During lessons, I ask students to try questions while I guide them, which helps develop analytical thinking skills. When teaching complex topics, I find it helpful to repeat the information in different ways. This helps students understand the concept better over time.
Carlos taught my 7-year-old boy math. Carlos is an easy-going and skilled teacher who was always ready for his classes. He helped my kid prepare for the 7+ King's College test, which he passed even though he only had a short time to study. If you need help with math, I strongly suggest that you talk to Carlos.
Carlos is always on time, well-organized, and patient. I thought it was great that he was always ready because he read the materials I sent him before our meetings. I really think you should work with Carlos, and not just for statistics. For any kind of math.
B.Sc. Mathematics and Informatics
I have a Master's in Mathematics degree. I have been tutoring students from different countries. I have experience teaching IB, IGCSE, and undergraduate-level mathematics, covering topics like algebra, calculus, and basic statistics. Over time, I’ve worked with both students who need help with basics and those aiming for higher grades.
I explain the concepts with step-by-step procedures. I also encourage my students to solve problems via logic within the sessions. So I could help them on the spot. I encourage students to think through problems instead of just memorizing steps. I also allow my students to share their problems with me so we can collectively solve them.
She is one of the most humble tutors I have ever studied with. She kept me updated on everything. Great tutor!
She is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Her lectures are fun! Math has always been a boring subject for me, but her sessions never bored me. I would hire her again!
MPhil
I teach Mathematics to students from different curricula. I specialize in American and British curricula. For 15 years, I have taught Calculus to students. Over time, I’ve worked with students at different levels and helped them get comfortable with the subject and improve their performance.
I explain the concept first and then give extra practice so students can apply what they’ve learned. I make sure there is enough time for solving questions during the lesson, so students can improve with regular practice.
BSc Maths, MSc physics
I have extensive experience teaching various curriculums such as FBISE, CBSE, IGCSE, Edexcel, and Cambridge. My students consistently achieve high marks in mathematics under my guidance.
My tutoring approach revolves around effective teaching methods and strong communication skills. I employ diverse strategies to ensure that students grasp mathematical concepts thoroughly and are able to apply them effectively in exams. Through clear communication and engaging teaching techniques, I strive to maximize student learning and success.
