PhD in Clinical Psychology
I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology and then practiced privately. I worked with clients who faced a range of emotional and psychological challenges in their lives. That time made me learn a lot about the range of human behaviour and emotions. I also grew a lot in terms of the application of my psychological theories through this hands-on experience. Almost 15 years ago, I realised that my true passion lies in sharing this knowledge with others. So, I decided to become a teacher of psychology. Since then, I have been teaching students about the human mind and its complexities. I make sure my students understand the theoretical and practical applications of psychology.
I have a firm belief that psychology becomes easier when we apply it to real life situations. In my lessons, I try to integrate examples and scenarios so that my students connect with it more and understand them better. I also have discussions and debates to be more interactive with students. This approach also helps students develop their opinions and think critically. Teaching students active listening skills and empathy are important for a career in psychology.
Caroline is very knowledgeable in her subject and I have been enjoying our classes! Learning with her is always enjoyable and interesting. During Caroline’s presentations, I can ask her questions, and she is always willing to give more examples. Our classes are interactive and personalised. I'm someone who isn't studying psychology but still wants to learn about it. I feel that taking these classes helps me become more aware of things. I can write about how Caroline’s lessons help and benefit me in my daily life. Knowledge is important, and psychology is a significant part of our lives. I strongly recommend her to everyone.
I admire Caroline's dedication to teaching. Her classes were well-structured, and she always made time for students. I only wish there were more interactive activities in the syllabus.

Master's in History
I have a Master's degree in History from Yale University and I have been teaching for 18 years. I am dedicated to helping people develop a lifelong passion for history.I have studied different historical periods and used what I learned to improve my teaching by including ideas from various subjects. I teach my students to think carefully and make connections between history, literature, sociology, and other issues. This helps them have a complete understanding of the topics
I prioritize teaching critical thinking skills. I tell my students to explore different perspectives on historical events, to question and test their ideas, and to ask questions. Students improve their ability to analyze and understand the past by participating in exciting class discussions, studying sources, and evaluating historical records.
I found Martha's teaching style a bit too dry for my taste. She tends to focus a lot on dates and facts, which can make history feel like a boring memorization task. I prefer a more interactive approach to learning.
Martha's classes are informative, but I find them a bit overwhelming at times. She covers a lot of material in a short period, which can be challenging to keep up with. However, if you're dedicated to history, she can be a valuable resource.

I’ve supported GCSE Islamic Studies students for over 4 years, guiding them through faith-based content and academic assessment objectives. I regularly work with students aiming for top grades and those seeking to strengthen their understanding of Islamic teachings and practices.
My approach is discussion-led and reflective. I encourage students to think critically about Islamic teachings, relate them to modern issues, and develop well-structured responses. I use visual aids, timelines, and structured notes to make complex topics easier to understand and revise.
MSc in Social Anthropology
I have 18 years of teaching experience. I am used to teaching in a multicultural environment. To me, teaching is my true calling. I did not start teaching just to earn. I live for the twinkling eyes of my students when they grasp a concept. Even better, when they figure out how to solve a problem on their own.My lessons are counted by the hour. It is up to you to have intensive or light training. Busy students can even take one lesson per week.
After knowing your current level and goals, I will create a customized plan to help you achieve your goals. My lessons include modern teaching tools to satisfy the student's needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.I’m flexible when it comes to the number of lessons you want. Personally, I like when students book at least 5 lessons to begin with. But it is totally your decision. If you’re not sure, book a trial lesson and we can discuss what the best option for you might be.

PhD in English Literature with a specialization in Modernist Writers, CELTA Certified
I started my journey into literature in St. Petersburg, a city with a rich artistic history. I grew up surrounded by a lot of different cultures, which made me really interested in English Modernist writers. I noticed that their writing had similar feelings to the famous Russian authors. This curiosity made me want to study more in both areas. Eventually, I started teaching and finding connections between these two interesting subjects. I have taught in Russia, the UK, and some other European countries for almost 20 years. I am knowledgeable about the writings of Woolf, Joyce, and Eliot, and how they relate to Russian modernist thinking.
In our sessions, we don't just read. We also explore the cultural, historical, and societal backgrounds that influenced these works. I assist students in comprehending the thoughts and feelings of the author, as well as the historical context and events mentioned in the novel or poem. Because I am Russian, I often use different perspectives to help students understand how people around the world felt during the Modernist era. I want to show students that literature is universal and timeless.
