I completed my undergraduate degree in the year 2004 and have subsequently engaged in various teaching roles. I started online teaching in 2013 and have worked with students from various educational backgrounds. I teach mathematics to students preparing for O-level and A-level, and I’m familiar with different boards and their exam patterns.
I usually focus on making my students independent learners. So, I encourage them to think through the problems instead of just following steps and memorizing formulas. I make sure that the concepts are clear and also ensure regular practice.
Bachelor of Education
I have 14 years of teaching experience and developing excellent rapport with students. I have supervised stimulating learning centres and reviewed the scheduling of exams. My management skills are excellent, and I have the ability to keep students on task.
My tutoring approach is developing and implementing daily and unit lesson plans, administer testing, track and analyze students’ performance. I prefer understanding students’ needs and delivering a lecture that suits their pace. For me, acquiring the core concepts or interest in the subject is more important than stressing over grades and learning like a machine.

I have around 13 years of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics at the school and college levels. Over the years, I’ve worked with different curricula, including GCSE, A Level, CBSE, as well as local systems like Matric and FSc. Most of my work has been helping students understand concepts clearly and improve their performance in exams. I usually focus on making math easier to relate to, especially by connecting it with real-life examples, so students don’t just memorize formulas but actually understand them.
I start by explaining the topic in an easy way, then we do a few examples together, and after that, I let the student try some questions on their own. I keep asking small questions during the lesson just to make sure they’re following along. If something is not clear, I slow down and explain it again in a different way. I also adjust my teaching style based on the students' needs. Some need more basic explanation, some just need practice.

My favorite approach for tutoring math to the elementary-level student is Concrete Representational Abstract (CRA) approach; this three-step-learning approach allows my students to manipulate concrete objects for drawing abstract observations and then solving math problems with created abstract notions. For higher-level students, I adjust my teaching based on the topic and student needs, using step-by-step problem solving and different methods like logical reasoning and structured practice.

I have been working as an online Physics and Math tutor since March 2020, based in Kuwait. During this time, I have taught IB Diploma Program (HL/SL levels), IGCSE, and A Level students. Before that, I worked as a Physics tutor at El Gazar Center in Alexandria, Egypt (2015–2023), teaching secondary school students. There, I prepared lesson plans, assignments, and tests based on the curriculum, and supported students through regular practice and revision.
Every student learns a bit differently, so I usually don’t stick to one fixed method. At the start, I just try to understand how the student is currently thinking about the topic and where the student finds difficulty. I also keep asking short questions during the lesson to make sure they are following along. The main idea for me is to keep things easy to understand and help the student slowly become confident enough to solve problems without depending too much on help.
