M.Sc
I am a Mathematics tutor and have worked with A-level students. Over the years, I have focused on helping students work through mathematical concepts and apply their understanding to exam questions.
I use formative assessments during my teaching to see how well students are following a topic. Their responses and mistakes give me useful feedback on what needs to be explained or practiced further.
LET Passer (Ph), Masters Degree
I began tutoring primary school students in the Philippines, mainly in Mathematics and English, and I also teach Additional Mathematics at A-level. My experience across different levels has given me exposure to both foundational Mathematics and more advanced topics.
I look at the student's curriculum first and from there, I give set of examples after I discuss the topic. As much as possible, I make it as an interactive approach. Not just me talking, but asking the student in which area he/she finds it difficult to deal with.
MCA
I have been teaching Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics since 2018. My MCA background also gives me a strong connection with logical and analytical problem-solving, which I bring into my Mathematics lessons.
I use different ways of explaining the same idea when necessary. Some topics need worked examples, while others become clearer through repeated practice or a different way of looking at the question. I give students enough time to work with the concept before moving on.
Master's Degree
I teach Additional Mathematics and Calculus and have worked with students studying these subjects for several years. I use worksheets, homework, and model questions as part of my teaching, giving students a mix of explanation and independent practice.
I pay attention to the curriculum the student is following and plan the lesson around the topics they are expected to cover. I use practice questions to check their understanding and decide which areas need more attention.
MSc Mathematics and Computing, BSc Mathematics
I'm Malaya Ranjan Behera. I served as an Associate Lecturer in Mathematics. I also worked as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Advanced Mathematics. I also worked as an SME in Statistics.
My tutoring approach revolves around problem-solving. My skills include MS Word, MS PowerPoint, C++, and MySQL. Whether it's Jee Main/Advance, Advanced Mathematics, or Statistics, I provide type-based solutions to my students.
Mtech in Computer Science and Engineering
I have taught Mathematics and Additional Mathematics since 2020, working with students from foundational concepts to more advanced topics. I start by making sure the basics are clear before moving on to more challenging questions.
I keep lessons focused on the individual student rather than following the same pace for everyone. I also like to make sessions interactive, with students actively working through questions instead of only listening to explanations.
B.Tech in Computer Science
I work with students preparing for Additional Mathematics, particularly those following A-level pathways. My background also includes Quality Assurance and Business Analysis, which has given me experience working with structured processes and analytical problems. I am familiar with the expectations of A-level Further Mathematics.
I keep my lessons practice-oriented. After introducing or reviewing a topic, I use worksheets and targeted questions to give students a chance to apply it. I also use homework when extra practice is needed between sessions.
B. E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
With a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, I teach Mathematics and Additional Mathematics to A-level students. I enjoy working with students on mathematical topics and helping them become more engaged with the subject.
I start by talking to students about their experience with Mathematics and what they enjoy or find difficult. Getting that conversation going helps students become more open during lessons and more willing to ask questions.
B.Ed. (Mathematics and Science)
I have been teaching GCSE Additional Mathematics since 2021. With a B.Ed. in Mathematics and Science, I work with students on understanding mathematical topics as well as preparing them to handle questions independently.
For topics that involve several formulas or steps, I use mind maps and other visual aids to organise the information. This gives students a clear way to see how different parts of a topic connect and what they need to remember when revising.
MSc Mathematics
I have an MSc in Mathematics, and I have been teaching mathematics since 2021. I have worked with students following different curricula and am comfortable changing the way I explain a topic depending on the level and requirements of the student.
Some mathematical topics can look difficult simply because they are not explained clearly. I try to break these topics into simpler parts and use examples that allow students to see how the solution comes together.
