I have around 9 years of experience as a Maths teacher in a well-known school in Pakistan (Roots International School). I have taught Grade 5 to 8 students following the Oxford curriculum. After that, I continued my teaching journey in the UAE, doing home tutoring and one-to-one classes for the last year. I have taught the Oxford curriculum, and now I’m also teaching American, British, and CBSE students. I also worked as a Pearson examiner in Ajman, UAE, for about six months (Jan 2022 to July 2022).
I always like to keep students involved in the lesson by asking questions throughout the session. For me, questions help keep them engaged and focused. I usually check in on and off during the class to see if they are actually understanding the topic or not, so I can be sure about their learning progress. From my experience, visual methods work better than just explanations in words, and they also save time.
